The Women@Work Leadership Team gathered in Charlotte for a two-day event focused on team building, leadership development, and strategic planning for 2026.
day 1
Day 1, we kicked off the evening with connection and camaraderie at Game Show Challenge, where team “Lettuce Win” emerged victorious over “The Whammies.” We enjoyed a pizza dinner and continued networking at Resident Cultural Brewing, building the foundation for deeper collaboration.
day 2
Day 2, we reconvened for professional development sessions centered on communication and leadership growth:
ERG Foundation
A review of Women@Work’s history and mission reinforced the group’s purpose and impact across the organization.
DISC Personality Assessments
We explored our DISC profiles to enhance communications and understanding of diverse work styles.
Leadership Breakout Sessions
Our small group activities focused on building trust, communication, and confidence in our leadership roles:
— Own the Room: Identified our core responsibilities
— This is How I Lead: Reflected on current strengths and areas for development
— Role Chartering: Clarified decision-making, ownership of events, and when to escalate versus collaborate
— Impact vs. Effort: Generated 19 strategic initiatives for 2026 spanning recruitment, wellness, professional development, community service, and collaboration opportunities
It was evident that the summit identified high-impact opportunities including career fair involvement, volunteer initiatives, wellness workshops, leadership courses, mental health resources, and expanding intern programming—all aimed at strengthening engagement and supporting associates throughout different seasons of life and their career.
