WICW AT BLUFORD

W@W celebrated Women in Construction Week and International Women's Day with a luncheon and job site tour at our Bluford St. Residence Hall project! It was inspiring to see so many women in the industry come together to celebrate, network, and recognize the impact we’re making in construction.

This event brought together not only Samet associates but also our design partners from Clark Nexsen and Marlo Interiors, our Owner representatives from NC A&T Office of Engineering and Facilities, and our valued trade partners from Precision Walls, Risa Construction, JED Signs, Sentry Fire Protection, and Cate Services—all of whom are playing a vital role in bringing the Bluford project to life.

WICW JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENTS SERIES

We had the incredible experience of speaking at the Career Speakers Event at Kiser Middle School, hosted by Junior Achievement of the Triad. Our goal was to represent as many different departments in the construction industry as possible. They asked so many interesting questions, showing their genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn.

A huge thank you to the amazing community volunteers who made this event possible. Your dedication and passion in sharing your experiences truly inspired the students and helped them envision a future full of possibilities. By coming together, we're strengthening the workforce pipeline and creating pathways that open doors to exciting career opportunities.

We celebrated Women in Construction Week with a panel Q&A to discuss the challenges and successes faced by women in the construction industry. It was a great opportunity to learn from one another’s experiences and celebrate the progress being made.

Afterward, we did a high-rise site walk and enjoyed lunch at North Italia. It was a wonderful chance to come together, share insights, and recognize the incredible contributions of women in the construction industry! Thank you to everyone who participated.

What an incredible day at the Fostering Footsteps Event at Wake Tech! Samet Corp was proud to be a sponsor, but even more than that, we were honored to show up as a team, representing Women at Work and our commitment to making a difference.

From connecting with the community at our exhibitor booth to walking (and running!) for an amazing cause, today was all about girl power, impact, and support for foster youth pursuing their education. Seeing so many strong, inspiring women come together made this event one to remember! A huge thank you to everyone who participated, stopped by our booth, and helped make this event a success.
