PTCREW Empowerment Panel feat. Carrie Sharpe: Women Leading Women to Success<[/et_pb_text]

About

Women Empowerment! What does that mean? It's something different to everyone but a small group of us attended the PTCREW Empowerment Panel: Women Leading Women to Success luncheon on October 2. Our very own Carrie Sharpe was a panelist and did a fantastic job talking about her move from an Executive Assistant at Samet to obtaining her real estate license and working on becoming a Certified Property Manager. Do you know that Carrie manages for Samet over 66 tenants, 49 properties, and little under 3million square feet of space? She was joined by other inspiring women and the panel shared how they balance career ambitions with life's demands (take away, there is no balance, you need to prioritize different things at different times but need to be present in life or career at their respective times), how to build confidence, embrace challenges and empower others in their community. All speakers on the panel were fantastic: Amy Jah, CEO of Sugar Mamas Movement and Founder/CEO of American Moving & Hauling, Inc. (who faces the constant question of "did you inherit this business?" - No, she built it herself!); Ellie Norton, Exec. VP of Rentyl Apartments (an inspiring single mom of a special needs child, who found a way to succeed in life for the sake of her child); Liane Wall, Retail Sales Rep of Impact Property Solutions and Multi-Level Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics (an incredibly uplifting personality who believe "strangers are just friends we haven't met yet"). Shauntyle Watson, Laura Kuhn and Sarah Willis attended the event with me. Our collective thoughts on this event was it reaffirmed the power of showing up, mastering our craft, owning our space, sharing knowledge and not fearing that someone is trying to take your job if you share knowledge, uplifting each other, and realizing we are stronger working together! Congrats Carrie on this event!
