Today is the day
You have either already filed your annual tax return or you are sliding into home at the last second. If I am completely honest, I have been on both ends of that spectrum, no judgement here.Â
We would like to offer you, our employees, a few tips and additional resources to help make Tax Day a little less painful.Â

Hurrice Helen Extension
Victim of Hurricane Helene? You have an extended deadline for filing Federal and NC tax returns for tax year 2024, May 1, 2025. Below are Federal and State links that will provide more information about this extension.
Tax Accountant Says "We Need to Make Changes"
Where to start? A few items to consider.
Increasing 401K contribution, lower taxable income.
- 2025 IRS 401K Contribution Limits / Age 21+ – $23,500
- 401K Catch Up Contribution Limits / Age 50-59 – $7,500
- 401K Catch Up Contribution Limits / Age 60-63 – $11,250
Participate or increase FSA, FSA Dependent, or HSA contributions, lower taxable income.
- 2025 FSA Limits / $3,300
- 2025 FSA Dependent Limit / $5,000
- 2025 HSA Limits / Individual / $4,300
- 2025 HSA Limits / Family / $8,550
- 2025 HSA Limits / Catch-Up / $1,000 (55+ years old)
Keep in mind changes to medical contributions need to be done during Benefit Open Enrollment or a Qualifying Life Event.Â
Update Tax Withholdings
Changes to current tax withholdings completed in UKG.
UKG Menu > Myself > Pay > Income Tax > Things I Can Do > Add/Change Withholding Form (W-4) > Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate (W-4) or your state form, NC-4 for example.
How the Above Changes Affect Your Net Pay
Model My Pay is the answer! Navigate to UKG through SametNet and follow the path below.
- UKG Menu > Myself > Pay >Model My Pay. In Model My Pay you can make changes to tax withholdings, benefit deductions and contributions to see the outcome of your net pay. You can create a myriad of scenarios until the desired result is achieved.
- Remember this is only a What-If scenario and will not make any changes to your current elections.
